Hi, Hello, and HOT Art from Abbot Kinney

SANDRA LONDON ON STAGE AT EXXXOTICA-L.A. 2011 DURING SENSUAL SPOKEN WORD

Bonsoir, messieurs-dames!
SANDRA LONDON from the SLIPPERY WHEN WET/COOKIES N CREME SERIES 2011

Just wanted to recount for you, my dear readers, details of my dalliance along the delightful diversion that be Abbot Kinney.

Yesterday, I happened upon a very new, VERY hip art gallery called Very Venice

SUCH an amazing array of talent can be found within this treasure trove of creativity.

I had the pleasure of speaking with a few of the artists in person. I must give praise to the extremely talented former interior designer turned Textile and Batik Artist, Kim Jacobi of BadAssBatik

One of my favorites in all of Very Venice was Night Watch, a Kim Jacobi piece which features a watchful gargoyle who may, in fact, be an agent of the dark.

Who can say?

But, anyways, it was most definitely one of the pieces in the gallery that I made both a mental and physical note to commit to memory.

Oh, but before I traversed throughout the belly of this heavenly pit of creation, I actually found myself led on a trail which brought me to Linus Bikes

Ooohmegosh, you don't even know!

Custom-made and totally Euro-style (Be still my nether regions!), Linus bikes kick the pants off of most any other bicycle bikes I've ever, ever seen. EVER!

Me want! Me be good! Me buy one day!!!

Super, duper pretty/bitchin'/stylin'/profilin'...whatever you want to call it, those bikes had me at Hello =).

And now, for HOT Art.

Let's fast-forward again to the wonderful world of master-piecing, shall we? I'll take you there.

Dark Night, a 4x4 oil on canvas painting in the art gallery most definitely caught my eye and made it from pen to paper so I could find out more about the artist behind it.

Tomer Peretz is his name and he hails from Jerusalem. I checked out the artwork on his site and there's plenty of eye candy, but my two other 'new' favorites, "Jim Morrison" and "Gold Apple" appear to be spoken for.

Great for him! Such is life for me.....

I'm somehow happy enough just looking at the display of it online, right where it is. =)

OK, Back to the Future.......
